OUR MISSION
VA Majority Makers is a recruitment program that identifies candidates across the Commonwealth who show promise of running successful campaigns and helps to equip and fund them for victory.
Once candidates have identified their target race and met our enrollment qualifications, they are eligible to advance to Tier One of our program: Contender.
Contenders are candidates who have already hit key strategic benchmarks, such as receiving 1,000+ likes on social media and designing a well-crafted website. They have raised $25,000-$50,000 in contributions and maintain a social and email list of 500 or more people. Candidates must complete our comprehensive online survey to be officially considered Contenders.
Tier 2 candidates are considered On Radar. To qualify as an On Radar candidate, a candidate must have raised at least $100,000 in contributions and maintain a social and email list of 1,500 people or more. At this point, these candidates should also have a robust staff structure. To advance to Tier 2, candidates must submit a two-page campaign plan for approval.
Once candidates have made it through the previous tiers and achieved major goals in their campaign journey, they are considered to be on the Front Line. These candidates should have raised at least $200,000 in contributions and maintain a social and email list of over 2,000 people. To qualify for this tier, candidates must demonstrate superior, highly developed campaign mechanisms and messaging.
