SIX ENDORSED HOUSE GOP CANDIDATES WIN IN VIRGINIA
PAC PREPARES FOR HOUSE 2022 CAMPAIGNS IF REQUIRED
Richmond, Va. – The Virginia Majority Makers Political Action Committee announced today that six of their first class of “Majority Maker” Republican candidates were elected to the House of Delegates. Each of the 2021 Majority Makers were non-incumbent challengers and key to flipping the House of Delegates to Republican control this election cycle.
The following 2021 Majority Makers were elected to the House of Delegates:
· Jason Ballard, 12th District
· Tara Durant, 28th District
· Otto Wachsmann, 75th District
· Anne Ferrell Tata, 82nd District
· Karen Greenhalgh, 85th District
· Phillip Scott, 88th District
To be selected as a VA Majority Maker, the Republican candidates were required to go through a three-stage process demonstrating their outstanding abilities in important areas such as grassroots engagement, fundraising and other major viability components.
“This first class of Majority Makers consists of an outstanding group of new GOP House Members and was crucial to returning the House of Delegates back to a Republican majority” stated Eric Cantor, Chair of the Virginia Majority Makers Advisory Committee. “They are business and community leaders from across the Commonwealth and will bring a new perspective to Richmond.”
Virginia Majority Makers is a state level PAC that emulates the Young Guns Program managed by the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) for Republican candidates running for the US House of Representatives.
VA Majority Makers is closely following Virginia’s redistricting process and preparing for 2022 House of Delegate campaigns should a federal court case require elections next year under newly drawn House district lines. The next class of non-incumbent GOP challengers will apply for the PAC’s endorsement and support to further build the Republican majority in the House of Delegates.
